The Hero’s Journey was originally discovered by Joseph Campbell, its secrets divulged in his book, Hero With a Thousand Faces.

The concept was later adapted for film by Christopher Vogler, author of The Writer’s Journey, who introduced its power into Hollywood during Disney’s peak in the 90’s. Notable films from this era are The Lion King, Hercules, and Aladdin.
